It is little over 1 year since I bought AVEO 1.4 LS. My overall experience :
Mileage : 11-12 in city with AC on and on highway 15-16Km. As promised by my dealer. So I am not disappointed like fiesta or other cars, where tall promises are made when u buy the car.
Service : Fatanstic. Garuda Bangalore used to provide me excellent after sales support. Unfortunately now they not GM dealers. However this week, GM has opened a new mega showroom and a service centre in KR Puram (closer to my home). Hope the service levels would be good here also.
Spare parts costs and avaialbility : No issues and by the way till now my car is not given me any problem till now. By the way, spare costs r much cheaper than other cars.
Drive comfort : Average. Gear shift is a problem area. In Rear seat comfort is pretty good and leg room and shoulder space are much better than any car in this segment. SX4 owners will cry for this rear space..
Speed : Have touched 120 Km easily. However the car picks up real spead only after rpm of 2000. Thatz why this car is giving a good mileage. Overtaking Honda city, Accent is a cake walk. However overtaking Fiesta in city is challenging but in highway I think it can catch up since in 4th and 5th gear, car responses really well.
Final Comments : No car is perfect. Honda is far expensive for the price you pay, Fiesta drive is good but doesn’t give the feel of a sedan car for want of great looks and pretty ordinary interior and exterior finish, SX4, oh my god , most hyped car but nothing gr8. Sx4 rattles at high speed, rear seat is cramped, cheap looking plastics.
Even Aveo is not a fantastic car but it is value for the money. Moreover for the price you pay, no car will give you this looks, interior and exterior quality , mileage , cheaper spare parts etc., .
