Guys this is my 3rd review about AVEO 1.4. This time my feedback is on service.
First thing comes to car buyers in India about GM would expensive spare sparts and poor maintenance.
Please CHANGE YOUR views.
SERVICE
When I bought this car, I was in Bangalore. Service was super good. After I moved to Mumbai in Mar’08, my first experience of service in Mumbai was not that good mainly due to, there were no pre service nor post service calls. Also I had wait for one week for an service appointment. In Bangalore I was pampered by GM service!
So I gave this feed back to GM. My next service was due on Nov’08. Things had changed:
a. I got an appintment for service for next day
b. I started getting my post service calls(that too 3 times!)
c. Now the cherry on the cake. GM appreciated by feed back and I have been give free service next time! No labour, no oil charges, free cleaning and polishing etc.,
Yes, compared to Maruti, service centres might be less, but if you notice, GM service centres are all huge. That is the minimum requirement as per GM standards. Thatz why probably u don’t c lot of service centres mainly due to paucity of such huge space in big cities.
*COST OF SERVICE/SPARE parts
*a. Service labour cost is much cheaper than any Hyundai or Ford and almost in par with Maruthi.
b. Spare parts cost . Sorry I have not changed anything till now! Any ways as per the rate card it is cheaper than Honda, Ford and Hyundai.
PLEASE change your mind and come out of your old mind set.
GM cars are value for money and you will start appreciating it once you own it for the sheer quality of raw materials used in the car including the plastics, paint quality etc.,
