Got the Chevy Aveo 1.4 LS, on OCT 3rd, 2006. Initially I was in complete dilemma with ford Fiesta and Aveo.. As I have haerd of the Fords maintenance cost will soar high at the later part i was inclined towards Aveo.
But the main thing I made the call for aveo is its Looks.. If Ford was having the same Exterior and interior looks of aveo then Fiesta would be my FIRST choice..
I always use the Shell petrol in the hosur road along with the Iftex G (from BP) it proved to be very good for my car.The mileage I get 12 inside the bangalore City / 15 in the outer, thats Quite okey compared to other C segmenters. mostly will hoist the speedo at 100 and not more than that.
As every one shouting aloud, the Gear shift is the worst thing I ever seen in any car.. I used to drive the Honda City and boy when you happen to suddenly to drive Aveo after driving honda you will clearly feel the Difference and Feel like throwing the gear knob away. Other than this issue, Aveo seems to be a better package on the whole. After driving for loong hours between Chennai and Blore and coinbatore I was ready for more!!!
Clocked 140 in the NH7 road. the Machine is pretty stable.. but mind you, its stable only on the plains and if it happened to be some abnormal curve you could feel the sudden drift in the balance. On the Sales front, Garuda has done a fair job. once I have to get it serviced before the Diwali and one person Anthony have seriously helped me to get it done on time..
Overall, this one is Good looking GM product, but on the PErformance stance it loose it up to Fida. You cannot compare City with this, City is seriously a class above. verna I dont want to pull in here. Have got loads of information on a site of TeamBHP.com IT was an excellent Site where you can get all the info abouts cars....
