I would like to share my own experience as an owner of this car. When i bought this car i was pretty sure that i wanted to buy sedan and my range was 6-7 lakh. After driving all cars in that segment i narrowed down my choice on dzire, aveo and i20. I20 is fantastic product but then again it was a hatch while the shape of dzire is really awkward while aveo was one product that gave me feel of honda city without shelling those extra 2 lakh. I went for aveo 1.4 lt which a top-end model because i didnt liked the interior of 1.4 ls - those extra chrome and wood finish with leathers all around and a rear spoiler really gave car a rich look and i still dont repent investing that extra 60k on it.
Drive quality: car is smooth and peppy. Pickup is acceptable - most of d city driving is bumber to bumber drive and i m quite sure u dont want those high pickup car to scratch other guy’s bumber. Even on highways the car is very stable - the most that i have driven in one day is 500 km with this car and didnt felt too tired. The power steering is ultimately smooth infact a lot more than hyundai cars. The worst part is horn - they have given 2 tits to press and they are so small most of the time i have to find them on steering while driving -loathsome designing there - this aint west buddy- we need horns!dats our national priority - we are noise loving people.eh!. Overall good drive quality.
Mileage: this is where the car really screws up. Dont expect anything more than 10 in city driving(with ac on - u need this in india - infact here most people commute in cars only coz they need ac in this hot weather of ahmedabad) . Highway driving may give you 14-15 at max. Thats it folks .no matter what sales guys tell you - dont be optimistic about mileage with this car. We never think about mileage when we buy car but let me assure you folks thats d most important factor one shud keep in mind- you will understand it(n feel d pain in ass)when u r paying 1000 rs note every other day to petrol guy- thats when u curse ur decision of not going for swift diesel.
Looks: well! You can park it next to honda city and without getting embrassed just walk away with pride thats as much look factor you can expect.
Overall a nice product with bit less mileage .
