A bit of a background: I had purchased my Chevy Aveo 2yrs back, on a second hand deal. A 2006 model, basic variant. It was company maintained(good) and had just crossed 45000kms when I bought.
And now my readings are close to 63000kms. I predominantly use the vehicle for long drives. City rides are done by call drivers(My parents use it!).
I have changed to CEAT tyres(Mileage model), a little oversized, maybe this affects my calibrated meters. That’s ok for me. It is a sturdy vehicle in terms of both engine response and body rigidity. For a layman comparison, it just as good to say that this is a "new generation ambassador." U can find a gliding sense when u cross the 2000rpm till 5000 rpm. I had touched close to 160 kmph on a highway with much of an ease, I love this car for its maneuverability at top-speeds.
The doors are bit heavy, needs quite an effort to handle. The comfort levels for the passengers are good wen compared to any equal sedan of this class.
The biggest issue lies in its mileage.
1.City conditions - 9 kmpl to 10 kmpl.
2.Highway conditions - 13 kmpl to 14 kmpl.
3.Again the maintenance is a little costly & small glitches do occur. But as you go for critical parts the spare prices are skyrocketing! Better do preventive maintenance.

"A classic travel companion but not your regular (daily use) mate!"
