Aveo-UVA looks good from outside, but sit in one, and cheapness is abound everywhere, starting from the dashboard to door plastic. I have following gripes against this car:
1) Low milege. Good luck getting >11 kmpl in Delhi traffic. If milege is not an issue, then read on.
2) Engine seems choked when trying to accelerate from 40 to 60-70.
3) No resale value. Try selling a six month old Aveo-UVA for 60-65% of the initial price. You’ll know what I’m saying.
4) Service and maintenance cost is north of that of a Honda City/Maruti SX4.
5) Pathetic GM after sales service. GM does not care. Period. They try to convince you for so many car care things when you go for service that your head spins, starting from Fuel additives to anti rust coating to wheel alignment/wheel balancing. the list goes on. And they turn vengeful if you decline even few, and stop listening to your other issues with the vehicle. If one intends to spend so much on maintenance, go buy a Honda City. It will prove cheaper over 5 years.
