I bought BEAT diesel LS 3 weeks back and clocked 2300 kms till now. Overall satisfied with the performance of the vehicle.
DECISION: - Evaluated ford figo, Beat diesel & Volkswagen POLO diesel before I made up my mind for beat. Frankly - FIGO never appealed me much but POLO was a beauty to drive. Both of them were slightly above my strict budget so I went for Chevy. My weekly driving is 700 kms includes (city driving 400 kms in and around Delhi /Noida & highway driving around 300 kms - Delhi karnal highway)
First Impression: - The seating position is perfect for a 510" driver, ease of entering/exiting the vehicle is there. Dash board is thoughtfully designed with well accommodating pockets everywhere. The blue back lights complete the interior ambience nicely at night. The meter how ever does not appeal. Looks like they pulled out from pulsar/ TVS Apache and fitted on top. GM should reconsider pushing this meter inside the dash atleast.
First Drive: - Engine is smooth although first & second gears refuse to take too much grunt. Overall feel is solid, under steers if pushed to max on hills but very very comfortable steering response. Stable ride @ 110 kmph, didnt took beyond that till now.
Comfort - Driver & co passenger fit in nicely, rear seat comfortable for 2 people with couple of accessories/handbags etc. Boot space not ideal to pack up stuff for long vacations unless you use the 60:40 split seat feature.
Fuel Efficiency: - A tank full done @ Ambala took us back to Noida and then back to Shimla where I refuelled again - around 680 kms including highway, city & hilly driving. Need I say more on the figures!!
Under 5 lac - diesel car with this kind of running costs - total value for money. Would not recommend for people who travel with full family on-board often.
Dealer: - Very good experience with aaryaman automobiles karnal, would recommend them to anyone planning to buy Chevrolet.
