I have owned the Chevrolet Beat LT for almost 10 months now completed 16, 000 Kms. The car is well built but there are few issue which I would like to share with you to see if you have experienced the same. To begin with is the low end torque.
The car really struggles to pick up at the lower gear and with the AC ON, I have to shift to the first gear to push the car in the city traffic. The music system is not great. Though the 6” speaker upgrade gives the output just at satisfactory level but not great.
The most crucial and major flaw is the Chevrolet beat gearbox. If you have driven a Maruti Swift or POLO you will immediately realize that the Chevrolet beat lacks a smooth gear shift. The puny tyres demand a extra smooth tarmac for a comfortable ride.
The car scores 10/10 on design but few practical features remain compromised on the Chevrolet Beat. The mileage takes a major hit in the city bumper to bumper traffic conditions. Over all the car is good but nor recommendable. Also Chevrolet in Pune have a pathetic service network.
