Claustrophobic cabin bad for long drives

Around mid of 2010 I was searching for a car priced around the 10-12Lac mark. I initially wanted to go with the Laura but it just did not grown on me and given the Vento was coming out with similar wheelbase as the Laura it was dropped.

I tried Civic but it seemed too old, tried the Corolla but the price was all wrong did like the car. That left two cars in my list and I choose Cruze because well people said it has 150PS and how can you go wrong etc, etc.

I took a test drive and liked it specially because of the acceleration, turbo lag was no problem I had a second hand C class and knew my way around it. All was good till the date I had to travel down from Delhi to Choilar it was around 260km I did not much think about it but I regret the trip so much.

About 2hrs into the drive I felt uneasy and a bit stuffy, seemed like I was coming down with something but after an hr it seemed unbearable so took a brake and had a stroll near the road I was fine again. Same thing happened after an hour and I ruled that it was the cars stuffy tight cabin that is making me feel claustrophobic "Something that never happened to me in the C class and that is also tight on space"

I have taken a few long trips also after that and came up with similar problems so am getting a driver for the long trips sadly the back seats are petty crapped and I will have to sit in the front passenger seat. Oh well I have a feeling the driver and I will be best friends.

PS: The reason why I just dont sell the car is that I am being offered peanut prices for my 7 month old car and I just dont see the point in getting a second hand car again.
