I was one of the first ones to buy a Magnum Petrol(Yes not
Diesel); I bought it more than two months ago and have done 2300 kms since.
My experience with the car so far has been great; I bought the cashmere color
which looks great. What I like most about the car is the interiors and the
space. I have seen both the front and the back passenger sitting with one leg
crossed comfortably.
Continuing with looks it is one of the longer cars of its class, and gives a
very up market feel. Handling is great, no problems till now. I am facing one
problem is that the car tends to pull on the right if a right rear passenger is
seated, could be because of wheel alignment, but no big concern, will get it
checked on next service.
The car is silent, and picks up pace effortlessly, 100+ on a highway is silent
and safe. The mileage I am getting is about 9-10 city driving with a/c on &
13+ on highway with a/c on, which is acceptable for a car its size.
There is no real down side to this car, great looks, great performance, and
good mileage. Class apart from fiesta and Verna’s of the world.
About the diesel vs. petrol magnum issue I do about 15000km a year, so does not
make sense to spend an extra lac on the car, will not be able to recover the
cost.
I am 27 and working with a bank, this is the second car I bought on my own,
first was Fiesta(year back), and I wanted to buy a car when u sit inside it
gives you a feeling of you having done something in life. This car would give
you that feeling, look forward everyday to driving the beauty to office, great
head turner.
