AFTER :
Now I own an OPTRA .. its done 2700 kms...and man this is a killer car.. .I had an Ikon before and my service guy used to tell me..please drive it sir, you have such a good car.., now I went for the Ist Service (1000kms) guys for the first service just after 11 days..It was unbelievable., the amount of driving I have been doing with this black metal. It really glides on the road... whoever said its a Comet on Wheels .. you are right.
Everything about the OPTRA is great.. and the interiors and the luxury is just too great. The way it takes off on the curves of the roads is amazing., I touched the maximum speed on Indian roads ... 180kmphs... I had done 220 on the Mondeo when I was driving in Belgium and felt great., but this speed of 180 had my adrenalin pumping., I noticed the speedometer when I was cruising at 160-165..and then stepped on the gas ..and it reached 180., just easily.
You can drive around in the city (Bangalore) in the 3rd gear and actually rest your left leg on teh special foot rest provided. Its blisss... just blisss.. more after I cross 5000 kms., so that I will write about any additional experiences.. :-)
BEFORE :
I test drove the car and it beats Corolla and Octavia hands down. Guess., its just too very good and for the price and the features no comparison nor comment. The drive is ’Sound Free’, the suspensions are great, the interiors are fabulous, the seating is wowh.. comfortable .. I am six feet and I normally drive with the seat fully pushed back, I tried in Optra and my..its amazing to drive with the steering tilted ... and u can see all the dacometers, rpm.. trip-meter etc un-disturbed .... another 6 footer can easily sit behind the drives’ seat very comfortably.. The ’goodies’ that come with it are wonderful.. I am sure.. with some additional warranty and guarantee for 3 years or more ..added into the package.. I am sure.. we will see more of Optra.. on the roads... or do I say .. I want to see too many ? I am planning in owning one... .. later on many can follow... Cheers Optra.
