General motors attitude

I purchased automatic 1.8 Optra . The interiors are very good looking but the qualirty of workmanship is very poor and response of General Motors is also bad. I showed the rust on the front seats bottom mountings and they did repalce the seat but the way the replacement was done made my car look very old and dirty.remeber it was only one week old car at that time.


The paint qiality is so poor that I was reminded of my old ambassador car paint quality.


Within few weeks of my purchase, the automatic transmission went bad and the car was with the delaer for 5days.Finally on 4th day they located the part but since it was at Gurgaon office and Delhi being too far the part could reach only the next day.The job was done in a clumssy fashion and the General Motors engineer did not have time to visit the workshop to see the problem.


The engine still makes abnormal noise and no remedy has been siuggested by GM.


On the paint quality the GM engineer did not bother to look at the poor quality and it took me three trips to their dealer to convince them that paint has a problem.They did gave a touch up job but still the problem persissts and paint looks to be so bad that one can see the shortcomings with a naked eye without being specialist.


I took pictures and sent it to their Managing Dircetor but no resposne.Once their afetr sales manager offred to repalce the car but actualliy it wasa trick to make me sell this car back to them at a rediculasly low price and buy a new one.
