We bought a spark LS model in June 2009 and its clocked 5000 Kms so far. This is my first car and I haven’t driven any other cars before.
Here is my experience with this little beauty.
I am living in Chennai. I was looking for a second hand car and could not convince myself to settle with the overrated Alto in the second hand market. Then the GM advertisement in the newspaper grabbed our attention. The discount offer and cashless ownership for 3 years were taken me to the Showroom – KLN Motors. I was seduced with its cute looks and attractive features. Compared with the specs of Maruthi Alto, Estilo and Wagen-R for self convincing and booked the LS version.
The performance of the car has proved that my decision was right.
I got delivered the car within a week’s time as committed by KLN motors. They have fixed a Music system – Kenwood player with USB port & Bluetooth and 4 inch speakers in the front and two 6 inch pioneer speakers in the back – with an additional cost of Rs.10000. Also given free accessories like Car cover, seat cover, floor and boot mats, body side mounting, and steering cover.
Delivered the car in my home after performing a Pooja.

Maneuvering the car is really a pleasure - Steering and pedals are light.
Good AC – Good cooling effect even in Chennai heat.

Reduction of power when turn on the AC,
’A’ Pillar hinders the right side view while turning right.
Low ground clearance – to be very careful while driving off road
Problems faced:-
Ants went inside the relay Box and damaged the relays caused engine and electrical system failure: - KLN Motors was prompt in response and changed the relays under warranty – after a small argument.
Mileage:-
Getting 17~18 Kms(with 100% AC) on the highway and around 13Kms(with 80% AC) in the city.
Long distance in one stretch: - Thirumala and Vellore from Chennai
Max speed tried: 100Kms - applied sudden brake with this speed, as a cow crossed the highway, car came to a halt precisely.
