Suggestion for all those who are planning to buy chevrolet’s car. GM will ensure that you cry for the service & parts replacement(even when your car is in warranty. I dont know what will happen once the warranty expires). THINK AGAIN BEFORE PUTTING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY IN GM’s PRODUCTS.
I had bought Spark in jan’09 first week and within 3 months and 500 Kms of drive, one of its key components(MTI) started giving problem. GM claims that this part is responsible for maintaining the load on the engine. Due to this faulty part, car started missing and all of a sudden, it picks up speed with a jerk.
This problem has got aggravted since then. When I contacted GM’s service center( Shiva Motors in NOIDA), first of all they did not even accept that it is a problem. Then on repeated complaints they accepted it to be a problem of MTI component and they said that they do not have this part in their inventory and they would need 7 days to get this part. Over a month has expired. Neither they have recived this part from the company nor they have even bothered to keep me informed about the status. Whenever I call them for the status, the receptionist always says that she was sick and could not followup. As if company’s work gets stopped if one employee is on leave.
Shiva Motors has really harassed us and there is still no visibility of this getting resolved. I really regret my decision of buying Chevorelet’s car.
