I had to come back and post this review, after all it saved me a lot of time, by reading reviews here.
I bought UA LT, Icy Blue colour a real beauty to look at and paid up a total of Rs 5.5 lakhs, which included life time tax, reg. and fancy number expences, insurance and remote locking. Yes I did think twice of buying LT and not LS. Not much in it, but still wider tyres, alloys, defogger, mist lamps and spoiler makes LT a bit more classy than LS. Yes one more thing, Icy Blue was available only on LT at that time.
Its been six months, but I have not done much in terms of Kms, as I still do some running around in my deisel car. But the near 4000 Kms that I have done so far, have been good. This is what I saw,
Drive: Excellent, on low gears( 2nd to be exact) in slow speeds it is giving some wobling, I did check the wheels and alignment, still not cleared, while on the second service I hope to iron that out. Another important aspect, pot holes are not a problem, with 187mm ground clearence, you can take it through bad roads without any worry. Gear shift has got better than what it was, it still has room for improvement.
Pick Up: Not a problem as I expected, it is not a scrocher but I do over take most vehicles without any problem( I am a compulsive over taker, which again needs to be ironed out).
Milage: This is one area I have some concerns about, It is giving below par, may be becuase of my driving or some problem there, like I said I am not experiencing any lack of power this might have some thing to do with milage.
Comfort: Again all stars, space and luxury un matched.( I did check out swift, its completely looses out in this front.
Braking: I did it all the way once in the highway, it came off very well. I have no fears as to that.
Safety: Well the front seating positions are so laid back that it beats most sedans, There was someone who was explaining why he took an alto(meaning why you spend so much for a small car) at an accessories place, I just showed him where I sit against to his seating. Well he had sort of I be damned look on his face that, it explained all. This is no small car but a big hatch, the inside space is very close to that of a corolla.
Quality: The build quality is pretty good, I so far haven’t faced any problems with car to date and no rattling or vibrations.
Service: I have read problems with service elsewere, but here, in cochin and most of Kerala, no one has told me so. This is my second GM car, so far the service have been pretty good. Excellent or top of the class facilities, with my dealer, I had small problem( with remote lock) they were promtly at my help with their service car.
Looks: Pretty good looking, I think Icy Blue and Black are the best colours, With other colours, the front bumper looks a tad too large.
Over all If you want some thing out of the ordinary, luxury, attention and all that this is your city car.
