Beware of the One Who Stands Behind the Rows

Children of the Corn

Rated R

Based of Stephen King’s short story.

Genre: Horror

Children of the Corn is a movie that leaves a driver rolling up windows and locking their car doors as they wander through roads surrounded by corn stalks.

Originally I watched this movie at a drive-in many years a go, and was shivering the rest of the evening with the nature of this film. It has tons of shock value, and a fantastic storyline that keeps the viewer’s attention from beginning to end.

One of the few movies that kept with the basis of King’s original plot, but with added effects for ’’gore’’ and ’’shock’’ values.

Short Blurb:

In a small town in Nebraska, the children have reverted to the ’’old ways’’, where He Who Walks Behind the Rows, is the master of all. The children were led to believe that all adults were to be sacrificed to He, and the vintage of death surrounded the town when, by mistake, a couple ended up there.

Now the battle continues with two new adults and a ’’gang’’ of children who are willing to murder them. The results will leave you, the viewer, wondering if that innocent child near you isn’t getting ready to sacrifice you at the end of a pitchfork.

The movie has few swear words, and no nudity scenes. The movie dwells on shockers, and surprises. The music will keep you on the edge of your seat, and the end shivering for nights on end.

The movie is an older one and I highly recommend watching this one only, leave the sequels alone they do not have the appeal as this first movie does.
