Hello friends,
I am here to make you all acquintance with Chilka Lake situated at Puri in Odisha. I visited last week with my friends, I am very impressed with it’s beauty.
Let me describe it’s charming features.
Chilka lake is a brakish lagoon water at the mouth of the Daya River. The lake is temperary home of large number of migratory birds. Here fishery is a done in huge. It is also very rich in flora and fauna , if we talk about accesabilty Chilka lake is well connected by highways connecting to Kolkata and Chennai via many small & big cities. So we can easily visit through railway as nearest chilka and Rambha railway station which is stoppage of all trains. Nearest Airport is Bhuneswar airport which 120km from a lake. There are several guest house of OTDC at Rambha, satapura and several hotels are there in Balugoan.
Beach here is amazing which the cherish the experience laying on sand and sun.
Overall very memorable days we had at this Amazing lake, security is not upto the mark means I could say not a safe place to enjoy yourself as I could heard from my friend many more had been drown. Govt. is totally least concern about security. Some how garbage can seen at huge amount making stinged area. Thus I can memorable day but beware of uncertain. Here many fake seller can cheat you as they sell duplicate sea ornaments near sea shore.
Thus it is not too good visit. I would like to rate 2 of 5 because of security for tourist.
