So this was a day of indulgence. No special occasion. No pre-planned arrangement. Just a spur-of-the-moment impulse. Sometimes we are allowed to conform to non-conformity.
Reached this place to be greeted by the host Santosh Gupta. Our sole motive was Lobster. And what arrived warmed the cockles of our hearts. A giant-sized lobster, freshly scraped out meat, cooked into large cubes in our desired chilli garlic sauce. The meat was soft, spongy and aromatic. The texture was typical of that of the crustaceans, albeit with a distinct difference from the other members of its fraternity. There are very few places in the city that serve lobsters(Bastian being my anytime favourite), and this was a welcome find. Totally worth the princely amount spent on this.
The prawns in the main course were equally jumbo-sized and generous in the serving as well. Like one gob was a mini-meal in itself. And the Veg fried rice was another right choice, baby. Subtle, soft-spoken, yet holding its mark. No brazenness, no overpowering flavours, no razzmatazz. And filling too.
Thank you Krishna Tamang for making my day.
