Chiranjeevi, the Megastar of telugu film industry was born in Mogaltur, a village in the Prakasam district on 22nd August. He was born to Shri.Venkat Rao and Smt.Anjan Devi. Chiranjeevi grew up in his native village with his grand parents, while his family was elsewhere because of his fathers occupation. The sense of discipline and hard working, which he still embrace were introduced at a very young age in his life, moreover the tough childhood he had being the eldest in his family have helped him to handle many such events of higher proportion with great expertise in the later stages of his life.
After graduating with a degree, Chiranjeevi moved to Madras to make a career in his chosen field of acting in Film industry. To prepare him self for the task he joined an acting school in Madras. After struggling for some time, Chiranjeevi landed in an acting roles in films like Pranam Khareedu and ?Punadhi Rallu?. Since that modest beginning, to this date he has acted in more than 110 films. Through out his career he has been through a lot of high and low notes. But, every time he came back with double vengeance and won his way through peoples hearts with his wonderful performances in his films.
Chiranjeevi married the Surekha, the daughter of veteran actor Shri. Allu Ramalingayya. Chiru has always been a family man, he is blessed with two daughters Sushmita & Srija and a son Ramcharan Tej. His younger brother ?Pawan Kalyan has moulded himself into one of the reckoning actors on the telugu film marquee.
To this date he is still modest for all those innumerable achievements and honours he had received. He recently completed the 20th anniversary of his entry into films. After such a long career he is still going strong with renewed energy and a string of super hits. Wish his success story goes on and on and provide with some great films to look forward.
Despite tasting such tremendous success through out his career, it hasnt got on to Chirus head. He is still the same caring, loving & cultured man both for his family and fans. Recently on his last birthday he started a charitable trust to give back something to the people who made him.
It?s common in the Telugu Cinema industry that people who are successful in their movies, plan to make movies and slowly build a studio of their own when they get enough profits. In the recent times, Chiranjeevi is one hero who wanted to spend for deeds of charity than for his own glorification in the industry, as he feels the responsibility towards his fans and, more important, towards the society. It?s not untrue to say that his deeds motivated many of his fans towards charity and social service/welfare. He should be commended for the same.
For some of fans he is a brother, for some his is an uncle, and for some others he is a son. He was just a guy when he entered the filmdom, and now, he?s the top star, and has been so since long. It?s approximately 20 years now, since he acquired stardom, and he still has a majority of current cinegoers as his fans. He has almost always been choosing roles that suit him, or roles that he can excel in and prove that he suits the role. He experimented with different characterizations and characters at various times, though his star image restricted him from doing certain roles or making those roles a success. Well, whatever we say about the well-known star would be reiteration of what lakhs of people said and felt.
Normally, people become fans of a hero after watching his movies, but Chiranjeevi is unique in having fans who are blind by birth ? one Mr. Vasudeva Rao of Gudivada. Sree Vasudeva Rao used to see (actually hear) all Chiranjeevi movies from his childhood. Ever since his childhood, he wished to visit and ?feel? Chiranjeevi. So he saved every penny he could and reached Hyderabad. He visited Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust in Panjagutta and informed his wish. Chiranjeevi came to know about this and spent some time with him.Vasus wish to touch and feel Chiranjeevi is thus fulfilled. This is just an example of admiration of Chiranjeevis fans and Chiranjeevi?s dedication towards his fans.
Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust (CCT) was established four years back. A part of his earnings have been going to its fund since then, along with the money he earns through advertisements that he appears. The blood bank of the CCT served over 20000 people in last few years, which itself a record, by operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The eye bank served 540 people so far, in the short time after its inception. Recently he started focusing on child relief too. What Chiranjeevi does through CCT is a noble cause that should be appreciated, and every hit movie of Chiranjeevi implies more funds to the CCT.
