Delightful

Even Tatyana Yassukovich couldn’t have asked for a role better than what she was been given( she was the narrator ba the way). Everything about the movie seems so tidy well made is a better word. I had never heard of Juliette Binoche( Vianne in the movie), and man what a sight she is. She is somewhere between a Greta Garbo and a modern day cinderella. Just be ready to fall in love with her the moment you see her. Johnny Depp as Roux underperforms throughout the movie and believe me when I tell you this it works beautifully for him and the movie. The movie starts with a small french village and the lives of the people their( Alfred Molina as the Mayor Comte Paul de Reynaud gives the performance of this life time) and how it gets changed by a visiting mother and daughter. Ofcourse there is too much of chocolate making involved too, but you got to watch the movie to find dat out. Lasse Hallström is one among the most top-rated directors in holywood today ( Cider house rules, What’s eating Gilbert Grape? ), and he doesn’t dissapoint a bit with this one. He potrays some very new emotions with the able aid of a fairy tale story and exceptional camerawork and art direction. All in all the movie is all very magical.

PS: Watch out for Judi Dench as Armande Voizin one of her best performances ever.

4 of 5 for this baby.
