I reached Chokhi Dhani and found guests to have called the local Police !! This because the resort management refused to even acknowledge their complaints ! Never have I seen such a situation. My subsequent 2 nights and 3 days were no better.I had to wait for an hour and a half for the room to be cleaned before I could check in. And found the room to be still dirty.
It was correctly cleaned only an hour later after many requests. Service was pathetic, a glass of milk could not come from the kichen even after 90 minutes. With the children hungry and crying I had to enter the kitchen to fetch the milk myself. Same when I asked for some salt !!. The restaurant carpet was smelling as it was probably not vaccumed properly. We had to call for food in our room. At breakfast I found the restaurant to be too small for the large number of guests that were living in the resort.
There were people waiting for seats, people shouting at the poor service that could not keep up, people standing and eating, People stading near occupied tables ready to grab it as soon as it became available. It was mayhem, No decent person could have food in such a scenario in what claims to be a "5 star resort". I had to push , shove and get breakfast for my family and carried food for four of us in one plate to my room. Note that the village is open to general public and is now very crowded. Once has to wait about 30 mins in queue get food in the vaillage. There are new rooms being made that make the place look cramped and also do not look very ethnic and spoil the "village" look of the resort. Not worth visiting. I feel cheated out of my money and holiday.
