I have never been unfortunate to lose a phone but it happened and I claimed through Cholamandalam MS insurance who covered the claim for LG Mobile Phones . Actual claim went through okay, I submitted my FIR, Translation in Stamp paper, Original Invoice and every other document they asked for. According to the terms and conditions in LG’s insurance booklet, the whole process will take 7 - 15 days for the formalities to get over, but Chola MS started investigation only after 16 days of receiving my docs. I’ve been calling them every alternative day and they keep on feeding me false promises.
They do not have any integrity within their organization and they lack systematic processes I was coordinating with Om Prakash who heads this claim but fails terribly to keep his promise. This has been the worst experience ever. If you are in India, I would strongly suggest that you do not go for high end LG smart phones because their Insurance partner sucks and terribly fails to keep their customer promise. I loved my Optimus 2X but the whole customer experience was mothered because of LG’s partnership with Chola MS insurance co.
