Very bad experience in terms of after sales with Cholamandalam Insurance.
Basically the problem with this company is the lack of coordination between the front and back office .The sales guy would show you a very rosy picture and then would have no clue on whats happening.
I Sold a car and tried to claim NCB (No claims bocus) certificate(as I was buying another car, wanted to save on insurance costs).
It took the new car owner ( who bought my car) two months of running around the Ghatkopar branch (and agent Madan Motors in Chembur ) to get the Insurance policy transferred to his name , something which was initially told would take a week or so.Supposedly as smooth as that .The RC of the car got transferred in flat 15 days by the Mumbai(03) RTO .And we keep slotting the Govt . in the slow category.
Throughout the process he never got a right answer , nobody had a clue on how long exactly it will take or who is to blame. After two months of being harrassed he got a policy which had his name misspelt.Very funny.
For two months he was driving a car with the policy in the name of the earlier owner i, e me..Thanks to Cholamandalam general Insurance. I still have no clue where the NCB certificate is and my new buy is also without an insurance .
Come February ( as the policy is due for renewal in March ) one starts getting daily sales calls from the Cholamandalam agent .All silence now. Hope you did not have a similar experience with Cholamandalam.. This is not a product review , more like sharing my experience .I have never been employed with this company
