Know what you are doing

If you are planning to buy a make sure you have all the information you have on the dealership. You may want to buy a new car but ask yourself some questions. Do I have enough money for the down payment? Will I have problem with making the payment? And what kind of credit do I have?

It is good to want something new but if you can’t afford it what about getting a certified used one. Some dealership you go to they will con you into getting the car no matter what it takes. And I am saying that from experience. I was naïve when I bought my first car. All I knew is that I was ready for a car and I could not take the idea of begging friends and family for a ride.

I not having good credit or know about buying a car went to a dealership in Fort Lauderdale it Ad on the paper said bad credit /good credit all approve. I had$1000.00 for down payment. I looked around and the salesman went to check on my credit then came back and said I had a limited amount on my credit and showed me between two cars and since I wanted it so badly I just picked one. After all the papers were signed and he told me I had sixty days warranty I left.

I went home happy I had accomplished a goal. After two weeks with the car I notice the odometer was not working and the car had some transmission problem. I took the car to a mechanic who told me my warranty does not cover the problem. I spent four hundred dollars out of pocket to fix it. When I went back to the dealership I told them about the odometer and they told me that they would fix it but I would have to leave it overnight and pick it up later that next day. I asked if they were getting me s rental and they said I have to pay for it out of pocket.

I was frustrated because one problem lead to a next. So, I went to a lawyer and when he went over the contract there were numerous illegal stuff done that I had to sue them. The VIN number on the car was not the same one on the contract and the mileage was way higher than they said it was. So all in all they used me to get rid of the car from the Lot.

When I checked the Kelly Bluebook they sold the car for twice the price plus a heavy interest that came up to four times the price of that car. Anyway to make a long story short my lawyer sued them and they settled for giving me the car with the title and no more payments to make. And they paid the lawyer’s fee.

Not all companies do that to you but you need to pay close attention to detail and find out about what you are getting yourself into before you do it.
