I(mid-twenties, recently moved to Gurgaon) visited Dr. Avinash Sharma at his clinic in DT megamall I must say I was terribly disappointed with the experience. I had an allergy breakout on my neck that I wanted him to take a look - I told him the entire story around how my allergies could have happened (food / woollens / hormones). All he said was to please eat some fruits and vegetable regularly! Obviously I was expecting a little more advice from a medical expert than this!
So I insisted on him giving me a medicine so the rash would not spread(I work in an office and the rash makes me quite conscious). The great doctor reverts "I am the doctor - not you. Look its not like you’re a film actress and have great "glowing and shining "skin( I actually have decent skin and my friends compliment me all the time!). Things like this will happen - just start eating fruits everyday!
So I insisted some more - he quickly wrote me Vitamin A tablets and a moderate dosage of antibiotics(the solution to everything). I was fed up by then and obliged him and left!
I find it strange that the doctor did nothing to help - gave no advice, wasn’t willing to give me medication, and instead told me I don’t have the skin of a filmstar(totally uncalled for!), and lost his temper for a simple rash / allergy. I did not mention earlier that he cannot speak English as well!
People in gurgaon - take references before you see a doctor - and as for Avinash - he is a BIG NO-NO from me. I got no advice and left in a huff after the random visit.
