I have my company site(ideaspark.in) registered 2 years back and this year March; I have transferred the domainto Godaddy.com since many people suggested they are good.
I have made payment using Axis Bank Credit CardI have transferred 2 domains to godaddy.com and made the payment.I have clearedthe paymentwhen I got my Credit Card Statement
The site was running, I used to get inquires, suddenly on 25thJune 2010, my site gone down. I checked with my hosting company about the issue.They saidthe issueis withthe domainand check withthe domainregistrar.
I checkedthe domaindetails in‘whois’record. That was in my name but instead of my actual name serverit was
Name Server:NS1.SUSPENDED-FOR.SPAM-AND-ABUSE.COM
Name Server:NS2.SUSPENDED-FOR.SPAM-AND-ABUSE.COM
I have contacted Godaddy.com, through their support, they asked to check with abuse department, when contacted asked to contact support.
Ultimately I got a reply saying there were a charge back.
After continuously contacting Axis bank, they said there were a charge back initiated but cancelled on the same day and the money is with Godaddy.com itself.
Now Godaddy.com is asking me US$ 65 for this domain. So, my advice please do not go with them. They can do anything, please go with some local companies, at least you can go and meet them and discuss things. Here to get a customer support on phone, minimum waiting is 9 minutes. Mind you, a call to US.
So, its my suggestion to all, please avoid godaddy.com and please have a look at nodaddy.com then you will understand what godaddy.com is.
