Bought Nokia X2-00 1 week back. After reviewing various handsets online I found this suits my necessities and my budget best(4800/-). Of course, there might be loop holes in my search and understanding since am not an expert in Mobile phones. I’d like the readers to take this review as written by a layman.
Why: Budget, Good quality music, has a OK camera 5 mp with flash(I already have a very good quality camera), internal FM antena(need not attach handsfree), don’t like big qwerty key board, 3.5 mm jack, usb connector(can charge with this too), Push to music(dedicated music keys & camera keys), Nokia battery and lastly did not find the touch screens that useful(Looks great though, but consumes battery and if you go for capacitive touch screens it’ll cost you a lot, min 8000/- for samsung). There are other music phones too, but they don’t come with 5 mp camera with flash, 3.5mm jack, in-ear handsfree, wireless FM etc within 5000/-. Something or the other is missing.
Pros: Good looks, good display, comes with in-ear(noise cancelling) handsfree(music is great with these), usb data cable, Sterio loud speakers(good quality), GPRS.
Cons: No 3G or 2G, although 5 mp camera with flash, does not seems like on the phone screen, continuous FM use quickly drains battery, takes very long time(more than 3-4 hrs) to charge battery.
My experience: I’m a occasional music listener. The music quality through the supplied handsfree is great. Has multiple equalizers too. I prefered "rock" settings. I don’t use much FM or loud speaker, hardly use camera or internet, facebook stuffs. So, battery also didn’t bother that much(~ 2 days). I charge it when I sleep at night. I changed the theme to a black one so that battery takes a less toll.
Don’t buy if you need 3G, Good quality camera, continuous LOUD SPEAKER music or FM, continuous GPRS. Go for qwerty if you like to sms a lot.
