I have purchased Samsung DUOS TOUCH [SCH-W299] on 24.10.09
from “Fast Connection” a Reliance outlet at 240-241, Supertech Shoprix Mall,
Sector-61, Noida – 201301 for Rs 11500/- wide their Cash Memo No.17/831
Amazingly within 24 days time, while using it on 16.11.09
night it developed some snag and went out of order.
On 17th morning I went to “Fast Connection” at
Shoprix Mall from I purchased my set to lodge the complaint. They clinically
examined it and told me that there is some software problem. According to them
the software of the set has been corrupted and can be set right within few
minutes at Samsung Service center.
They gave me 2 addresses of the nearby service centers
located at Atta Chowk at Noida, which were following :

I went to GNH TELECOM, 1st Floor, Tilak Bhawan,
Sharma Market, Atta Chowk, Sector 27, Noida, to get my mobile set repaired.
It was a service center with a dingy outlook, with a strange
sort of interior just not matching the Samsung Branding and looked like a
clandestine service center.
They got my set admitted wide their work order No
WA96270911817 dated 17.11.2009 at around 12 noon.
They took around 2 hours to fiddle with my set in the closet
of their service cabin and came out to announce that software problem of my set
has been solved and they delivered it to me with a remark on their work order
“S/W update”.
Minutes after I found that my set is not working properly.
Then again they readmitted it on the same work order with a foot note “Handset
not delivered”. Then they asked me to come next day.
I went to them on 18th November only to find out
that my set was not repaired. Rather I got a version that their PC has gone out
of order with which they wold have done the repaiar [strange enough]!! They
again asked me to come next day.
I was running out of patience. Since my two business Nos
[one CDMA and one GSM] was being held due to the invalid SAMSUNG handset.
I went to them next day on 19th November in the
evening at 5.30pm. When they gave me a final verdict that the Mother Board of
my 24 days old [brand new SAMSUNG handset] is defective and has to be replaced
which will take 3-4 days. They said that they have already placed an orders
with their principal to that affect.
Now, this was too much for me and I took my set back
un-repaired from them with their remark on the work order “s/w repaired but
problem not solved”.
I
am frustrated and want either my money back or replace my set with new ones.
What you want to do with the novice service handlers at GNH
TELECOM to save your BRAND NAME is entirely upto you.
