I did not find this particular model under IFB category in mouthshut and hence putting it here. I bought the model recently at Rs33000 from Adishwar in Bangalore, marathali. Its one of the newer models of IFB, getting imported to India of capacity 6.5kg.
I chose IFB inspite of people complaining about service in mouthshut. IFB is the pioneer in front load technology. When they started selling machines, most of the companies today had not even started thinking about washing machines. I needed a good machine and hence IFB. You can of course go for Siemens which is also a good product. I needed 0% emi offer and Siemens was not offering that. Else I would have gone for Siemens.
I also live 5 mins distance away from IFB company. hence service will never be an issue. Service in bangalore is good. Also, if you are buying IFB, always purchase it from company. You will get a good discounted price.
People with luxury amount of 1.5 - 2.75 Lakh budget can go for Miele washing machines which comes with 20-25 yrs fix it forget it support.:)
Its the Rolls Royce of washing machines.
My IFB has got 4 yrs full body warranty and 10 yr spare parts warranty.
1) look is elegant.
2)Absolutely no sound while operating.
3) No vibration whatsoever.
4) Cleaning is very good.
5) Front loading, fully automatic
6) Almost every aspect of washing starting from water temperature to cloth type can be defined and set prior to washing.
7) 1200 rpm
8) temperature control
9) cloth type specific washing
10) soak/spin/rinse control
11) in case of power cut, resume function.
12) In case of power cut, manual draining of water through drainage pipe.
Almost all the problems which people face with washing machines are due to user handling of the machine. First and foremost is the load. In front loading washing machines, you are not suppose to load at full/over capacity. You will be blocking the main tumbling action that way which will reduce washing quality and also will burn out the motor and belt. Thats a very common problem and people keep shouting at service centres. A machine running at full/over capacity always will have a shorter life span.
Also, you should avoid using running the machine at max rpm and max temperature setting. You should actually not be needing them in daily life. So avoid running any washing machine at max condition.
people often tend to forget taking things out from cloth pockets and damaging the drum in turn. Also, regular cleaning is reqd of the parts. Whatever the engineer tells you during demo, we tend not to follow that and hence problem appears later. Also, most part of India will be having hard water and hence a water softener(ifb has one) is recommended, if not mandatory. It should cost you around 1800 and will increase wash quality and life of your machine.
Please remember washing machines are like any machines, excessive load and operating condition will degrade it. No point in complaining later.
happy washing!
