No clothes and no bath if you buy a samsung w/m

God!! Help me.. Its been one and a quarter years since I faced this problem.. My Samsung Washing Machine ..better to call it "Samsung Clothes Oiling Machine".. has a model no. WA78 H1B /XTL.  This unique "Oiling Machine" does precisely that!.. It carefully sprays oil on the clothes!!  The presence of oil is only too obvious on the white and cream coloured clothes. The brand of the clothes doesn’t matter to it! The Washing Machine oops.. Oiling machine  is totally fair to all the clothes. Whether its VIP or any banian.. it converts pure white to "white and black".. If you were to wear it and stand near a garage.. people will automatically approach you to repair their vehicles..


Now, in the last one and a quarter years.. it has been ’carefully taken" back to the so called "Samsung Service Center" and "carefully" brought back too to my residence. But what happened in between - I don’t - know. I have been charged about Rs. 3, 500 for these activities.. and I have about Rs 3, 000/- worth of white and cream coloured clothes that have a "sort of" resemblance to white and cream respectively. Initially they "replaced" a costly spare part costing about 2, 500 Rs.. when the problem happened again, I was informed by the "engineer" that it must be the other part and I was charged for that too.


When the problem repeated, I was told by the engineer, that since both the spare parts had been replaced, he would now replace the first part (the costly one mind you). When I shouted at him, he called up his manager who "advised" him to replace the cheaper one.


Wow.. this is engineering and managerial skills of Samsung at work!! That too Samsung India. All this at a very nominal 80 phone calls to 1800 110011 . You get to listen to free music too. You can have intellectual conversations with the call center people who will happily read out your phone no., your address and other info. since you would have forgotten all these in your anger and rage and frustration.


Additionally since they love their products very much, the Samsung India people will return your product only after a week- 14 days.. probably their busy managers need time to give goodbye kisses to their junk products. which would take at least a week. During this period.. when you have take bath and worn fresh clothes.. its Ok after a few days you would run out of clothes.. especially when you run out of clothes and buy new ones.. or not take bath since you would have to wear the used clothes, you see. (We were used to taking bath and wearing fresh clothes until Samsung you see) SAMSUNG SAVES WATER TOO and SOAP AND TIME.. and we all learnt in school days itself that TIME IS PRECIOUS .. we were also told that WATER IS PRECIOUS..


Now when I ask to talk to a supervisor in the call center. I am told that he is in a "busy " eating.. oops "meeting" and would get back. After a day of waiting.. the scenario repeats."Action replay’ like in the T20 cricket matches you see. Well, I wonder when my waiting would get over. Oh, the resale value of your Samsung Washing machine costing Rs 10, 000 /- would be Rs 1, 200/-(if you are lucky).


(P.S. My sister owns a fifteen year old Onida washing machine with just one repair that was done in one day. In the last 15 years!!)


So much for an "international" "Korean" product.
