Videocon Semi-Automatic

Hi,

I have been using the Videocon semi-automatic washing machine for more than 7 years now. Although it did not give any hurdles during its use there was one peculiar problem that I faced. When used for more soiled clothes, it used to impart dirt on the wrinkles that were formed during the wash. This used to create lines of dust on the part where the wrinkles were formed and it happened only with pure cotton trousers and jeans. It never occured with any other fabric. It does not happen all the time, but it happens on more occasions than not. This is very irritating as I am very particular about the quality of wash and moreover the clothes getting dust lines are required to be hand washed again to remove the linings which is so painful to do after having a washing machine. But apart for this defect, it has given an excellent performance over the last 7 years. Its working fluently without any rise of technical problems. One minor problem with it is the vibrations it generates while using the dryer. It feels like a chopper is about to take off. One more problem is that if the dryer is over or under loaded, then it does not start off properly, it starts with a noise that makes you feel like 2 big stones are being dried out inside. Sometimes the noise disappears within a few seconds, on other days I need to remove or add a few more clothes to the dryer for it to start properly. Now I am planning to buy an IFB Diva front loader as front loaders give the best quality of wash.
