I chose a Culligan water filtering system for the

I got my Culligan water filter several months ago. So far I love it. We have well water and the iron content is horrible. The inside of my coffee maker looks really bad with the orange from all the iron. So, I started looking for water filters.

I have a water softener on the outside of the home but all the iron killed it. So I had to look for a cheaper way to go. I purchased this particular filter for my kitchen sink. (It will cost over $200.00 for the parts to fix the softener and my husband can do the work on it, but money is tight, as with most families.)

The installation of the filter was very easy. There are three different types of fittings that will fit the basic facet sizes.

You have one piece that slides up over the top, then put the fitting onto the faucet, and hook that first piece into the other one. The first piece that you slid over the top will slide down and screw on over the fitting. Really simple.

There is also a window on the top that will indicate to you how much water has been filtered through the filter. The window shows little water drops that fill up solid as the filter is used.

I have noticed that those nasty water smells are not there as much either.   And the coffee does taste much better.

The color is white so it goes with the entire kitchen.

Read the warranty information. And keep it in a safe place to refer to later. And do fill out the postcard and send in which lets Culligan know the piece you have. The directions on how to put the unit together are in this same pamphlet. Also, there was a separate paper with the directions on it in mine.

I like it so far. The price was a little steep I thought and the filters are $15.00 each, so I feel that is a little steep as well. But, for cleaner water I suppose it is worth it.   The filter should be changed about every 3 months.

There are different types for water filters/purifiers for the home. Shop around until you find what you want, but I really recommend a Culligan. I just trust the name.

I hope this has helped in some kind of way.

God Bless!
