Ive read several opinions here on water filters, different brand names, types and costs and they all sounded effective and products I would use.
My particular review is on brands/types I have actually tried, although I feel when it comes to purifying your water, it would be unlikely thered be a poor choice.
In any event, I recently purchased the Brita Faucet Filter System to replace the Brita pitcher I was previously using that my son smashed on me (accidentally of course)..
I should say before I move on that I find both products very satisfactory, however, Ive been using this new system for the last couple of weeks, and I think I prefer this direct faucet system over the built in filter
pitcher which has since been tossed.
The Brita Faucet Filter System is so easy to attach, even for a mechanical klutz like me.. You simply screw it on to your faucet.. It comes with washers and adaptors if you need to adjust the fit, and voila.. you are good to go!
The Brita Faucet Filter System retails for $39.99,
but I got it on sale for $35.00. It will not need to be replaced for 4 months. I consider this to be a bargain because we go through a one-gal pitcher of water daily at least, which would be the equivalent of $30/month.
The Brita Faucet Filter System has three settings on top: regular flow; spray flow; and of course.. filtered.
There is a little green indicator light which comes on to indicate filter is working, and a red light to indicate when filter needs to be replaced. It also comes with a handy pitcher.
The Brita Faucet Filter System promises to:
Reduce lead
Eliminate Cryptosporidium & Giardia
Reduce Chlorine, Bad taste, odor and sediment
Reduce Atrazine, Lindane, Asbestos, Benzene,
and Trichloroethylene
I am happy with my new purchase and I highly recommend it!
