Having pure and safe drinking water has become a privilege with the sale of mineral water bottles going through the roof ....but one cannot afford to have mineral water bottles at home for consumption (quite expensive)
After going through a lot of literature and articles on the right product to use as an water purifier - I have thankfully taken the right decision of going in for a purifier which does not consume electricity, low on maintenance, gives me nearly 100% pure bacteria free drinking water.
The product works on the principle of reverse osmosis, Tap water goes through a carbon process ( to remove bad odour if any in the water)and filter pads that does not allow any foreign particle to enter the purifier, the water is stored in a tank ( which is a part of the purifier) and through the sheer pressure of flowing down passes through a membrane which has small filters (the holes of which are smaller than the tip of a hair) it filters the water and does not allow bacteria to pass through it.
You get clean, pure drinking water.Incidently the reverse osmosis is a natures gift which is done on a regular basis by Coconut trees.Any turbid, coloured water comes out sparkling clean when passed through this purifier. It ensures that the essential minerals are kept intact.
The total cost of the purifier with installation would come to INR 5500 approx., The life of the membrane is 5 yrs and costs INR 1500 -2000 The carbon pads costs INR Rs.60 which needs to changed every 6 monthly and the filter pads are somewhere around INR 200 to 250 the company gives 4 to 5 pads free on installation The company could have modified its schemes and prices please check before you buy.
The only problem is the product is manufactured by a small scale unit. The name of the product is crystal clear and is manufactured by Permionics which is based in Vadodara (Gujarat) India .But of late their servicing has improved but would suggest any one who is interested in buying the product to check on the dealers and after sales service from the Company personnel.
