I am reading lot negative reviews about various good brands here, I am having 2 AC’s. One is Hitachi kaze 1.5 and second is whirlpool mastermind 1.5. I know that there are service issues almost with every company in India. But uptil now I am not facing problems with service in both brands.
Hitachi I bought in march 2012 coz they have nice machine, their copper tubes are thickest in market and its a Japanese brand. For second AC I was thinking to buy voltas but I got to know tht they are made in china and started looking better options and I found whirlpool, its a US company they are giving AC with ’HIGHLY’ branded compressor which is again a hitachi made compressor I think. and they were also claiming 100 percent copper tubing, so I bought whirlpool in 2013 march.
One thing I want to say is that AC is very sensitive machine and needs good handling , its having soft fins and copper all inside. One law of thermodynamics say that compressor works good in normal temperatures so you should place AC in some shade and not in direct sunlight. Also there should not be any fuming water body like - nala or lake flowing under AC
