I have taken a motor insurance for my car through a telephone call from Lombard. While selling their product they said all their services are available through telephone/online. When I said that I need to confirmthe date of regn of my vehicle the tele-executive said it can be corrected later online itself and pushed me for buying the insurance. After buying when I confirmed that my date of regn has to be changed by two days, the lombard guys are saying that I need to visit their office to make a change, this is totally in opposite to what the tele-marketing guy said to me. Also they said there may be minor change in the premium due to the change in date, I agreed to pay the difference if any, however they are saying they cannot take a request online and also that they cannot send a person to my place for this. Whereas if you want to buy a product from them they will come to your place and do anything cheap to sell their useless products.
Please do not buy any product fromICICI Lombard and in my view they are the biggest cheaters of this century. They promise many things to the customers while selling whereas they do not keep any of their promises.
