Powersafe Invertor, BaseTerminal cos.irresponsible

If I have ever been sorry about buying any product then it is the Powersafe Invertor through their dealer Swaraj Eletronics, Kalyan, Maharashtra. The dealer has behaved in a most unprofessional manner and has even been rude to me and my 76yr old mother as well. In fact, it is my mother for whom I invested Rs14, 000 towards this invertor+battery.


I live in a place where the load-shedding can go up to 5-6 hours a day. At such times, if the product fails to perform, then the main purpose of buying the product is defeated. My aged and ailing mother has had to suffer stifling heat, and while visiting the bathroom she risked in jury because of the pitch darkness. For what do we have to suffer all this? for buying and increasing business of the 2 companies and their dealer? The products are still within the warranty period but I have to suffer thus after even having fattened their bank balances.


Just before Ganesh Chaturthi this year, the invertor conked out. I immediately contacted the dealer Sandeep Hindurao - a most rude and uneducated person. It was around 8 p.m. I explained the problem, he said he would send somebody the next day to my house. I waited the next day and the next and the next. I tried calling on the mobile number provided on the bills. They would ring but the person stopped answering. The third day onwards I started looking up the manufacturer’s contact details. I made about 50 calls and finally got through to Powersafe the invertor company on the fifth day. An engineer Manisha madam assured me a person would visit my house but on the following Monday as it was already Saturday. The techinician arrived and replaced the PCB board of the invertor but now my question is what about the 3 monthly service commitment given to me on the invoice by Hindurao the dealer? His service boy(someone who can only pour some liquid into the battery) showed up only after 6 months. When the phone rings during the day, neither he nor his men bother to answer. And at around 8.30 p.m. when finally he bothers to answer the phone he rudely says to call during office hours and cuts the line.


Who is accountable for such irresponsible behavior? Another dealer in the district told me I can file a legal case against the dealer who sold me the product and the manufacturer too. I have had to suffer so much hardship, I could easily sue for damages. Will the companies making/marketing these products please answer? My contact number is 9892069832.
