You may actually not need an inverter

I reviewed a lot of inverters and the pros and cons. Ultimately what ticks you off is lack of free flow air and light. You might want to consider a battery operated fan and emergency lantern(LED) with remote controls.

They both cost 1300 Rs and 1200 Rs respectively and the former runs for 6 hours and the later for 12 hours. You could buy one for a room and still save a lot of hassle of wiring, maintenance and high price, that comes with an inverter(Rs 15000 - inverter - Rs 3000 - Battery operated appliances).

I don’t recommend one over other, nor am I involved with any brand. I chose Nippo as its a listed company and partly owned by Panasonic. I tend to trust Japanese appliances. They are good at service and are not very salesy.
