Whenever you are going to choose among the banks providing internet facilites to customers; be very careful. This is because I am fed up with the services provided by HDFC Bank, it really sucks!
There are lots of incidents happened to me while banking with HDFC, thank god! I dont have my salary account with it. Just for few examples I was tried to be fooled on HDFC Credit card, they arbitrarily charged few thousand bucks on my credit card for some insurance provided by HDFC services which I never even tried to enroll with. No timely statements.
With the current account that I have with them(unfortunately), I never recieved debit card on the same. my ipin was blocked since they said I tried 3 wrong attempts of login to system which I was using almost for 3 months without any failures! give me a break! I dont forget the pins for my important accounts ever!
For every facility that you want to avail from this bank you have to stop by a branch(your own account branch otherwise they will charge you few hundred bucks) and fill and submit the forms in person. Sometimes it is very hard to think that we are living in the age of internet, this bank always tries to be consistent with the stone-age banks. I wrote a good red email to bank manager on the same why everytime everyone has to visit a branch and he reverted(thank god they hear!) with a sorry mail also attaching the forms in PDF format for me to fill in and drop them by a nearest branch. my god! that really sucks!
For generating the ipin I tried the "online" facility, which in turn requires the debit card which I never recieved, so finally, I was asked by the customer care executive to stop by a branch and fill in form in person which I exactly did, but still even after 2 months I never heard from them when I tried to call them they said they never recieved any such application from me!(what rubbish!) and I was asked to do the same again!(am I a fool!)
Ill never ever suggest anyone to go for this bank to avail any online facilities in future. nor I am going to do the same!
