Well, I cant deny that internet banking is very useful. Being able to access your account anywhere you can find a computer is great. With Smile you do have a labourious log in where you have to remember not 1 but 4 different passwords!
But what really ticks me off is the outragous charges on these accounts. If you go over your overdraft limit, even by a small amount, you are charged £15Service charge(you dont get any service for this). Then another £5 per day for each day you are over your limit. You can very quickly run up a massive bill. Just what you need when you are already in debt.
Phone them up and they will be terse at best. Is it any wonder they make Billions of pounds profit each year. It appears smiles ethical policy does not extend to its customers.
Be warned: Before you take out any internet bank account, check out their charges first.
Good luck.
