People think nationalized banks offer horrible services when it comes to getting a loan. I have always taken loans from nationalized banks and finfd that they offer value for money. I took housing loan from staye bank recently and was pleasantly surprised by their service.
I had to hardly do any running around and the rates offered were very low. the so called aggressive banks like idbi, icici just refused to give loans on some pretext or the other but SBI was just too good. my CA had recommended SBI and I keep thanking him again and again. I recommend SBI to everyone and let me know if u ever get bad service. then to my utter surprise when a foreign bank offered to take my loan to their fold the branch manager from SBI went out of his way to make sure that I diid not transfer my loan to a foreign bank and in return offered me a good interest rate as well.
