Boy, my brother is impossible!

WOW!  This one is going to be hard for me.  You see, my brother is obsessive!  He has everything he wants and he’s ordered everything he needs.  And mind you, it’s always top of the line!  And if he sees something he thinks he may someday need, watch out!  He runs to get it.

So when anyone in the family has to choose a gift for little bro’, it’s a hard task.

Here are some of the gifts I’ve given him over the years.  I hope it helps any of you who have a brother who is impossible to buy a gift for.

A gift certificate for Sharper Image, which is a store where you can purchase odd, hard to find and very unusual items.  He always finds something there!

A running gift(one that keeps giving all year) is a packet of homemade coupons I made up, with 24 coupons in it.  Each one is a night of free babysitting for my niece.  Mr. obsessive likes a family member to babysit!

I’ve also given him a certificate good for 6 haircuts at his favorite place.

And his favorite gift is always a gift card from Home Depot or Lowes, where he can buy something new to use around the house or garden. And especially to buy a new tool or two or three!

If your brother isn’t as picky as mine, you can always buy him a CD player or some of his favorite CDs.

How about some video games for the computer addict brother.  Or even pre pay for a couple of months of computer access.

If your brother is into cars, you can always make him happy with something or another for his car, or a coupon book for(pre paid) car washes or waxes.

If bro’ is away at school, a care package from home is always welcomed.  Some homemade cookies or cake.  Some of his favorite snack foods.  A few pair of new socks and/or underwear.  Throw in some pre stamped envelopes and writing paper.(No more excuses for him not to write home!)

Is he a bowler?  A new bowling bag is a good choice.

A golfer?  Some new balls or a club you know he wants.

If you’re still at home(Teenagers), give him the gift of a clean room for a month, or even clean laundry.

Take your time, think about what he likes, wants or needs.  And remember, he doesn’t want a shirt he’ll never wear or a tie(If he even knows what a tie is.)(haha)

Put thought into the gift for your brother, and he’ll put thought in what he buys for you.

And don’t forget the best gift of all, respect and love!
