Read this book .. Its an absolute travel guide for India. The book Titled ’’India’’ from lonely planet is a complete reference for India travel. BTW Lonely planet has books by the name of most countries which are the defacto Travel guides..
The book for india starts with some background on India and then moves to indiviual states..
It describes the places to visit in the state and how to get there Road/Bus/Rai/Air..
The most useful feature I find is that the Hotel details it provides.. It provide Hotel stay details in terms of Budget/Mid/High Range hotels.. with phone numbers and the conditions of Rooms etc.. I have myself checked the info and it is authentic.
The book also provides popular and good eating place in the city you are traveling with apprx amout of money required.
The book is a must have for any one who loves traveling and travels also...:)
The book is also availabvle in most libraries..
Once you go through this book you would’nt plan your next travel without it..
The only problem is it costs about Rs 1000 ( But hey it is worth)..
