Hello All,
Booked a MS SX4 Zxi in last week of August. Once the booking was done, I even signed off my MS Esteem Vxi for the exchange bonus. It has been almost 40 days since the booking was done. Its been a month since I signed over my Esteem to True Value. Still no sign of my new car. The sales folks have stopped picking my phone. I asked CIL board number to transfer to their GM. They refused. So, I have no idea when my new car will come.
Initially the sales guys was Shrikant. He, along with another person named Abhishek Rawal were to handle my case. There was a delay in people picking up loan related documents from me. When I raised this, I was told that please communicate with Shrikant only. He then got my Esteem arranged to be sold off with True Value. The True value guy came and took the RC n stuff. Its been more than a month since this transaction has happened. The bank guys meanwhile closed out the sanctioning of the loan. So the financial closure was achieved around 25 days back. It was good so far.
I had been in touch with Shrikant who was telling me that once the MSIL strike opens, my car will be one of the first to be made.
A week later even he stopped taking my calls. I kept on asking him to give the number of his GM but he said he is smsing it to me and never did.
Then I tracked an Assistant Manager - Shailendra Patil. Initially he said that once the strike is opened he will tell me the date of delivery. A couple of days later he told that it will take 20-25 days. This is on Oct 3rd. Now I am trying to get hold of him, he doesnt pick up the phone.
It feels like I made a very big mistake by going in for Chowgule. I am being told that the model and color you chose is not yet started production.
The reason of my frustration is that I can see new Maruti cars on the road every day but mine is not yet confirmed.
I had raised a complaint with Maruti as well but to no avail. I have received only confirmation of my complaint but no one from MSIL has even contacted me.
If this is the way Maruti and their dealers deal with prospective customers, that day is not far when they will be left with only 5-10 per cent of the market share. The cars may be good but this attitude will not take them ahead.
As for Chowgule industries, I will never recommend them to anyone. Good deal or not, their sales is pathetic. A simple phone call cant be answered by them when they have not even sold the car. God knows how they will treat the customer when he gets his car. Most likely they will forget him and let him fend for himself.
