Dentists are divided in their opinion over use of fluoride toothpastes. While some recommend use of fluoride as vital protection, others suggest to just rinse with a fluoride solution at night before bed. Some suggest to just get a fluoride coat done on the teeth for Rs.200/- every 6 months. The main point is that fluoride content in Indian waters is fairly high & further fluoride is dangerous.
My own experience : I used Cibaca Fluoride since childhood. On two long occasions when I inadvertently switched to Colgate, I landed up with multiple tooth fillings.
Then there was a time when the product was out of the market & I got on to neem twigs. The dentist said it is highly acidic, & it would be safe to just use a toothbrush with salt & also floss the teeth daily. Presently, I am using salt as toothpowder, followed by floss, & lastly, top the game with a brush using pepper.
