This hotel claims to be a 5 star but don’t expect the opulence of Taj or Leela. However the resort provides you with a 5 star experience. The resort is on the slope of a hillock and bang in front of the beach. The beach is a small one and exclusive to the resort. There is no other way to reach the beach other than the resort. Water sport facilities are available on the beach and the resort authorities have taken care to keep the beach clean.
The rooms are spacious. Except the standard rooms, all other rooms provide a view of the sea and the pool. Room service is prompt and excellent. Clasic, Delux and the suites have DVD players and one can rent DVDs from the resort at no extra charge
The resort provides a wide variety of entertainment services. There is a casino in the resort. Daily two movies are screened at the 24 hour coffee shop. Live performance by bands at their bar and restaurant makes the evenings magical. There is kidade room to keep the kids busy. Plus there is pool, lawn tennis, badminton, basketball and other indoor game facilities to keep you busy throughout the day. You can also play beach cricket and beach football.
The resort has 5 restaurants. 2 are outdoor and 3 indoor. The indoor restaurants have good ambiance with special mention of Alfama. Food though is bit average but the overall experience will be very special. The bar provides an excellent view of the sea and is well stocked. there is a 24 hr coffee shop
Overall the warm and friendly staff, excellent service, good ambiance and entertainment facilities makes this resort a 5 star one.
Best Experience: Live band performance in the evenings at the bar makes the evenings magical. Special mention about the Alfama restaurant which provides a perfect setting for romantic dinner. Cafe Azul gives you a perfect view of the sea and you can spend your evening relaxing there and staring at the sea. The service staff are not uptight as in other 5 star hotels. They are friendly and provides good and prompt service. Do stay in this resort if you are looking for a romantic holiday
Worst Experience: There are few minor issues which however couldn’t be rated as worst. The resort provides coach service to airport and the coach that was provided to us from airport to resort was a old one. Didn’t have the best of experience. The clasic rooms have balcony which are too narrow. 2 people can hardly sit there. Otherwise nothing to complain.
