I had telebooked two tickets for Golmaal Returns 2:30 P.M. show on 21st Nov, 2008 at Cinemax, Mira Rd. As the policy says that we had to reach 45 mins before show time, we were well in time to ask for our telebooked tickets.
After travelling all the way from Churchgate(source) to Mira Rd.(destination), it is really shocking to hear by the person at the counter that ‘ You will not be issued tickets since only two of you are there for the show. If there are no more people, the show would be cancelled. Wait for sometime to see if more public comes for the show.’
After waiting for 40 mins, we again approached the ticket counter, but he stated that tickets won’t be issued since more people were not there. I asked him to show me the policy, if anywhere such kind of clause is written. I was adamant to purchase the tickets with cash ready at hand. He denied and told me to wait for another 5 mins. He left the window and went somewhere(may be to speak to the manager over there)
He came back after 5 mins to the ticket counter. I approached him again. He stated that show will not begin due to less no. of people. I again insisted on showing the policy. This time, he confidently told me to meet the Manager at first floor.
I went over there. The security girl at the entrance called the Manager at the First Floor Entrance.
The person in charge straightaway lied with another reason stating that ‘there are some technical problems with the projector and the engineers are doing their work and the show would probably begin in next 20 mins or as soon as the problem is solved.’ I was not satisfied with this silly excuse. And asked him to give me this statement in writing. He straightaway refused to give it in writing.
Then I asked him that ‘ok! so the show would begin by 2:50 p.m.?’
He refused on that also, giving some other fraudulent excuse.
I very much insisted him to give to me all this in writing, which I think shouldn’t have been a problem for him(if whatever he was telling me, were genuine).
But he straightaway refused again telling me to go for some other movie, which wasn’t any of my interest.
Nothing left to do, I had to leave the premises dissatisfied.
Is such kind of a behaviour expected from CINEMAX chain?
Do such kind of Managers really manage things well, without thinking about the customer?
What for, the 4th week of the movie Golmaal Returns was kept at Cinemax?
If there are any policies which the customer is supposed to know before telebooking or visiting the theatre, shouldn’t they be properly conveyed?
Who is going to pay for the waste of my Time, Energy and Money?
On top of all this, Cinemax people did not reply to this complaint mail that had been sent a lot many times earlier at their id.
