Two nights ago, totally bored I applied online for a Citibank card. I got a reply within 36 hours that after reviewing my application very carefully they are unable to offer a card. I hold other cards and have never defaulted in any way. I should rather think they have the quickest approval/non approval response. They even had the gall to send me a ’’Exciting offers with your Citibank card’’ spam. I think these banks (SBI gave me a similar experience but without the world record turn around time) just have too many applications with their offers and then chicken out after sending a million agents after you because they can’t afford so many customers the installment schemes and other such . Glad anyway since most reviews here are negative. If you want a class card from a class bank then HDFC is where to go although I am certain ICICI is a world class bank too but I have not experienced them as yet.
