Worst customer service, better not opt for citi.

A girl calls saying she is a credit card rep for citibank and speaks only in tamil even though I say I dont understand. And the worst point is none knows to speak a proper english. Then she asks all the details before she could explain the plans and offers. She nods for all the details we say especially the CTC ( says for ur salary u get platinum card) and pesters us to submit all the forms.


After two days we receive a sms saying your ref # is so and so but if we check the mail we receive , says


"Thank you for your application for a INDIANOIL CITIBANK PLATINUM CREDIT CARD


We have reviewed your application and the annexure provided. We regret to inform you that we are currently unable to approve your application as feedback from Credit Information Bureau (India) Ltd (CIBIL) does not meet our minimum credit criteria." After seeing this if we try to contact the person who processed our application , the number doesn’t exist. If we call the customer care and ask whats the reason for rejecting , she reads out the mail what we received.This is been repeating to most of my friends.


What exactly do this citibank require?  just a count that they received this many applications to keep them live in the market??? or to boost off that they give to persons having only salary in lakhs??


I strongly suggest you guys not to opt for CITI Cards. You get better cards with better service in the market.
