I have taken Personal Loan from CITI bank last year 2002 August for 3 years with preclosure facility.
Now I want to close this loan amount, I asked this with Phone banking before three months, they said we have to raise closure request only between 1st to 6 th. I asked them today is 26th Why dont you take this request for the loan closure, the same message only I am going to tell you on 1st to 6th also, I asked her to register my closure request, she said that is not possible.
I have called on the 2rd to raise my pre closure request with phone banking, she verified all my personal details atlast she asked , What is your loan number, I said , I dont have loan number, can you take it from your system, She said that is not possible, We dont have your loan number just we have you personal information. I asked her can you trace it in your banking system and register my pre closure request. She asked me to call again after 3 days, I have called her, that day I called and asked the LOAN NUMBER, they said that is not possible to find out in their system, you need loan number to make your preclosure request. I run behind the company SHELTER who processed my loan, they also said they dont have addition to that they asked some reference for personal loan. I thought to fire that guy but I did nt maintain my loan number so I did nt do.
I have again called CITI Bank phone banking, this time I am very lucky, I got loan number, I asked her How you got this number now, she said lot of story, I dont know without my account detail information what they are going to do in phone banking.
This time I registered my request, they accepted my preclosure request with great heart, I asked that phone baking laday to give some reference number for this request registration, She said there is no procedure that is available, you can note my name and deal with me.
After 15 days one lady called me from CITI bank and asked my why you are closing this loan I said I am going out of country end of this year I want to clear my commitment here. she said no no if you want we will reduce our interest rate, continue your loan, I said I will not be here who will pay your loan so please confirm my closure request. She said I will get pre closure approval letter from bank in 5 days, you can close this loan next month 1st to 6th.
as of now I have lost 3 months So far I did nt receive any letter from bank monthly 5 times I am talking with different different phone banking persons, I went to CITI bank mountroad office, they simply said deal this in phone banking, I wonder phone banking is the extra feature banking is giving to customer or that is the only way.
Nowadays I am daily ringing to citi phone banking...manytimes they are drop the call in the between of my discussion with them. Even Sofar I ever raised my voice to them
I am feeling very bad abt this bank, what a customer service they are doing? What ever process required for the bank benifit everything in place, but if customer wants to do anything with the bank......nothing is there..
Can any one suggest me close this issue as soon as possible and make some complaint abt this kind of banking process.
